Big House

The Big House Football is a proposal to decorate a fiberglass football sculpture with Ann Arbor landmarks. The outside will have buildings painted around the football’s perimeter. Inside will be a model of the Big House stadium. People will be able to look inside the football through a hole at the location of the football’s laces. (If we are unable to cut out the laces shape, we will make holes at either end of the football for people to look inside.)
In case the fiberglass is translucent, the bottom of the football will be painted a dark color so that the stadium model will not be evident from the outside. We are aware that designs may not include any direct reference to a specific product or company name. However, we would like to display the word MICHIGAN on the football field. If that is unacceptable, we can make the football field look more generic.
If it is possible to get our sculpture delivered from the fiberglass company without the two halves of the football assembled, that will aid us in creating our design. Otherwise, we will have to cut the sculpture in half, insert the model, and then glue it back together.
